International Symposium on New Issues in Teacher Education (ISNITE) has long served as a dynamic and inspiring platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners dedicated to advancing teacher education worldwide. Since its inception, ISNITE has brought together hundreds of international participants and distinguished speakers, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the field of teacher education.
Our symposiums have been held in various countries across Europe, each hosted by reputable academic institutions and supported by passionate educational communities: 2013 – Hacettepe University, Türkiye 2014 – University of Macerata, Italy 2015 – University of Thessaly, Greece 2016 – University of Eastern Finland, Finland 2017 – University of Gdańsk, Poland 2019 – University of Malta, Malta 2025 – Bursa Uludag University, Türkiye
Following 2019, we experienced an unexpected pause due to global circumstances. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted our academic and logistical planning, leading us to postpone our activities. A subsequent attempt to organize ISNITE in Ukraine was unfortunately cancelled due to the ongoing war in the region.
After six years, ISNITE returned in 2025 with renewed energy. ISNITE 2025 was successfully held in Bursa, Türkiye, bringing our community back together to exchange ideas, strengthen collaborations, and reimagine the future of teacher education.
Now, we are delighted to continue this revived journey with ISNITE 2026 in Macerata, Italy. With the same spirit of international dialogue and shared purpose, we invite you to join us in Macerata as we explore emerging challenges and opportunities in teacher education—and shape the future together.
